Albanian Development Guarantee Foundation – ADGF celebrates its 10th anniversary with an evening of gratitude and partnership

Albanian Development Guarantee Foundation – ADGF celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of collaboration, impact and sustainable development in the Albanian financial market.

The event brought together around 100 guests, representatives from partner financial institutions, international donors, government representatives, and close collaborators of the foundation over the years.

The opening speech was delivered by Ms. Gertjana Drita, Executive Director of ADGF, who summarized the foundation’s journey since its establishment in 2015, emphasizing the role of donors and financial partners in increasing access to finance for micro, small and medium-sized businesses and in strengthening the financial system through technical assistance.

Following this, attendees heard welcoming messages from international partners:

– H.E Mr. Karlfried Bergner, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, praised ADGF’s contribution to strengthening the private sector and economic development through guarantees supported by the German government.

– Ms. Jenni Lundmark, representative of the European Union Delegation to Albania for Private Sector Development and Gender Equality, emphasized the importance of guarantee programs as a key instrument in promoting small and medium-sized enterprises.

– Mr. Fatmir Guri, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, welcomed the work of ADGF in supporting the agricultural and rural sector through guarantees that strengthen competitiveness and sustainability.

The ceremony was also attended by Ms. Anila Denaj, Member of the Parliament of Albania and Chair of the Committee on Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Sustainable Development, as the guest of honor.

One of the highlights of the evening was the awarding of recognition awards to partner financial institutions, which were recognized as the best collaborators in the history of this decade’s success.
Five symbolic awards were awarded to NOA, FED Invest, OTP Bank, ProCredit Bank and Union Bank, in appreciation for their sustainable partnership and their continuous contribution to supporting Albanian entrepreneurship and the sustainable development of the economy.

The 10th anniversary event summarized in a single evening the gratitude for all those who have contributed to ADGF’s journey — partners, donors and collaborators — thus marking the beginning of a new decade of development, innovation and sustainable impact on the Albanian economy.
