The Albanian Development Guarantee Foundation (ADGF) and Credins Bank have signed a new guarantee agreement within the framework of the “EU Western Balkans Guarantee” Programme, further strengthening their collaboration in support of Albanian businesses and sustainable economic development.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Maltin Korkuti, CEO of Credins Bank, and Ms. Gertjana Drita, Executive Director of ADGF, reaffirming the commitment of both institutions to improve access to finance for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across Albania.
Credins Bank holds a special place in ADGF’s institutional history, as it was the first bank with which ADGF started its cooperation in 2016. Over the past ten years, this partnership has supported the use of guarantee instruments as an effective mechanism to facilitate lending to MSMEs, particularly those facing collateral constraints or limited access to traditional financing.
The signing of this new agreement marks a further strengthening of this long-standing cooperation and reflects the shared commitment of ADGF and Credins Bank to continue supporting Albanian businesses through sustainable financing mechanisms.
As an initiative supported by the European Union, the EU Western Balkans Guarantee Programme is designed to facilitate financing opportunities for businesses that often face difficulties in securing adequate collateral or accessing traditional lending instruments. Through this guarantee mechanism, the programme aims to enable greater lending capacity, encourage new investments, and create more opportunities for long-term and sustainable economic growth in the country.
The partnership between ADGF and Credins Bank represents an important step toward strengthening the financial ecosystem for Albanian enterprises, while also contributing to job creation and the further alignment of Albania’s economy with European standards and development priorities.
This agreement forms part of ADGF’s broader engagement with the banking sector under the EU Western Balkans Guarantee Programme, continuing its mission to support a more resilient, competitive, and inclusive business environment in Albania.
