The Albanian Development Guarantee Foundation (ADGF) has expanded its collaboration with ProCredit Bank through the signing of a new agreement under the EU–KfW Western Balkans Guarantee Programme. The agreement reinforces the shared commitment of both institutions to support the resilience and competitiveness of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in the context of Albania’s European Union accession process and integration into European markets.
Building on an established partnership, the new agreement further integrates the programme’s guarantee mechanism into ProCredit Bank’s lending operations. This enhanced cooperation enables increased use of structured guarantee instruments, facilitating improved access to finance for MSMEs while supporting prudent risk management within the banking sector.
“Working with long-standing partners such as ProCredit Bank allows the programme to operate efficiently at scale within established financial systems,” said Ms. Gertjana Drita, Executive Director of ADGF.
ProCredit Bank emphasized that the agreement is aligned with its approach to responsible and structured lending, providing additional flexibility to expand financing for businesses and support their growth in a more competitive and integrated market environment.
This agreement forms part of ADGF’s broader engagement with the banking sector under the EU–KfW Western Balkans Guarantee Programme, contributing to the development of a more resilient and competitive MSME sector in Albania.
